7Star Quarterback Academy

Train the position,
not just the throw

Individual and small-group quarterback training in the Des Moines metro — mechanics, footwork, reads, and the command it takes to run a huddle.

What we train

Six things every
quarterback owns

Every session pulls from the same six areas. What we weight depends on what your film says.

01

Mechanics & release

Base, hip rotation, and a repeatable release that holds up under pressure and in bad weather.

02

Footwork & drops

Under center and out of the gun — three-, five-, and seven-step timing tied to the route.

03

Progressions & reads

Coverage recognition, working a progression on time, and knowing where the ball is going pre-snap.

04

Pocket movement

Climbing, sliding, and resetting the platform without dropping your eyes.

05

Film study

Watching your own reps the way a college coach will, and knowing what to fix before the next session.

06

Command & leadership

Cadence, huddle presence, and the part of the position that never shows up in a stat line.

Testimonials

What families and athletes say

Coach Peewee is so much more than a trainer. He focuses on every aspect of football, not just the physical side, but also the mental preparation, discipline, confidence, and character it takes to be successful both on and off the field.

He truly cares about helping these kids become not only better football players, but better people. He is supportive, encouraging, and always in their corner.

We are incredibly blessed to have him in our corner and grateful for the time, energy, and genuine investment he makes in these kids. Coaches like him make a lasting impact that goes far beyond the game.

Nicole Stupp · Parent

His attention to detail, knowledge of the position, and commitment to helping me improve has made a major impact on my game. Every session challenges me to become more disciplined, confident, and consistent. I’m grateful for the time and effort he has invested in my development.

Kingston Butler · Quarterback, Class of 2031

SevenStarQB has helped me in many ways. Learning from someone like Peewee taught me so many things — how to throw a deep ball better, staying calm in the pocket and having clean feet, and how to make throws simpler for yourself as a QB. The biggest thing I have learned from Peewee is the game will almost never love you back no matter how much effort, sweat, and time you put in. It comes slowly and you just have to trust it. Truly the best learning from someone who has done it at the highest levels!
